HOWARD — Shirley A. Wagner, 75, of Howard (Apple Valley Community), passed away Sunday afternoon, Feb. 5, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Oct. 30, 1936, in Gallipolis, daughter of the late Lewis and Ruth (Cox) Hill. Shirley retired from Utica Insurance Co. She was a member of Christian Center in Gahanna for over 25 years. Shirley will be remembered as a good and faithful servant, a prayer warrior, and a Woman of God.

Shirley is survived by her husband of over 55 years, George Wagner; a daughter, Tina Essex of Mount Vernon; a son, Mark Wagner of West Jefferson; and a sister, Barbara (Nolan) Aughenbaugh of Oxford, Miss.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Feb. 9, from noon until the time of a memorial service celebrating the life of Shirley at 2 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon.
