BELLVILLE — Dorothy Emma Mowry, 90, of Bellville died Feb. 4, 2012.
She was born Jan. 13, 1922, on the family farm on Kochheiser Road, to Melvin and Lula (Woodruff) Kochheiser. On Feb. 6, 1943, she married Chester Mowry, who died in 2002. Dorothy worked as a loan officer for 25 years at the Mansfield Farmers Production Credit (Farm Credit Service), retiring in 1984.
Surviving are son, Rev. Ronald A. (Susan) Mowry; daughter, Linda A. (Alan) Crooks; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded by brothers, Donald and Paul Kochheiser.
Friends may call Sunday, 2 to 6 p.m., Bellville Snyder Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Monday at 10 a.m. in Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. Dorothy’s son, The Rev. Ronald A. Mowry, and The Rev. Dr. Beverly Hall will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.
