MOUNT VERNON — Richard S. “Dick” Rumbarger, 83, of Mount Vernon, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, at The Laurels of Mount Vernon.

He was born Nov. 22, 1928, in Dayton, son of the late Paul E. and Lucie F. (Smalley) Rumbarger. Dick was the former owner and operator of Law Cortube Co. in Dayton.

Dick is survived by his children, R. Doug Rumbarger of Pittsburgh, Pa., Rhonda L. Jones of Fairborn, Colette S. (Charlie) Kanyo of Deland, Fla., and Lori J. Rumbarger of Mount Vernon; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother, David P. (Fey) Rumbarger.

In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn S. (Scherack) Rumbarger; a brother, John Rumbarger; and a sister, Betty Jean Regones.

A graveside service will be held Friday, Feb. 24, at 11 a.m. in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Jerry Bell officiating.
