LEXINGTON — Ernest Pelham, 95, of Lexington, passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, in Mansfield MedCentral Hospital.

Ernest was born Feb. 26, 1916, in Manchester, England, the son of Ernest and Jennie (Rogers) Pelham. During WWII he served in England’s Royal Army Service Corps. He retired from GM in 1981 after 22 years.

He married Maureen O’Rourke Sept. 1, 1962.

Ernest is survived by his wife, Maureen Pelham; sons, Ernest (Sylvia) Pelham and Stephen Pelham; two grandchildren, Natalie Pelham and Gregory (Liana) Pelham; two great-grandchildren, Jack and Jordan Pelham; nephew, Michael (Freda) Burgess; niece, Jennifer (Keith) Talbot; numerous nieces and nephews; and extended family.

Along with his parents, Ernest was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Pelham; and sister, Irene Burgess.
