MOUNT VERNON — James Warren, 51, of Mount Vernon, passed away Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born Sept. 1, 1960, in Houston, Texas. James was a U.S. Army veteran. He managed the Rumpke Recycling office in Mount Vernon and was also a skilled locksmith.

James is survived by his loving wife of eight years, JoAnn Warren; two sons, Thomas Warren of Germany and Lee Goudy of Mount Vernon; three daughters, Renee (James) Bateman of Gambier, Mitzi (Randy) Sheets of Mississippi and Tracie (Thomas) Hart of Delaware; nine grandchildren, Shelby, Devin, Blake, Savannah, Sophia, Mikie, Sarah, CC and Calvin.

Friends may call Thursday, Feb. 16, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home, 212 N. Main St., Mount Vernon. Graveside funeral service with military honors will be held Friday, Feb. 17, at 10:30 a.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.

In lieu of flowers the family would like memorial contributions be made in James’ name to Hospice of Knox County, 17700 Coshocton Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050.
