DUBLIN — Arthur Clarence Kaler, 88, of Columbus, died Feb. 12, 2012, in The Forum at Knights Bridge in Columbus.

The son of Clarence and Ella (Matz) Kaler, Arthur was born Feb. 21, 1923. He graduated from Springfield Township High School. Arthur served in the U.S. Navy. In 1949, Art graduated from the Ohio State University.

Art is survived by daughters, Nancy and Pam Kaler; son, James (Valerie) Kaler; grandson, Joseph DiNapoli; nephew, James Odenkirk; niece, Barbara Wadley.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Edith Kaler; sister, Elizabeth Odenkirk; brother, Frederick Kaler; Taffy, his beloved pug.

Graveside services, with military honors conducted by the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail, will be held Saturday, Feb. 18, at 1 p.m. in Mansfield Memorial Park.
