BELLVILLE — Sylvia Caroline Doup, 83, of Bellville, died Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012, at home.

Sylvia was born June 8, 1928, in Carrollton, Ill., the daughter of John and Mabel (Hudson) Miller.

She is survived by her husband, Edward J. Doup of Bellville; children, Carolyn (Bill) Brook, Donna (John) Moore, Ron (Rebecca) Doup, George A. Doup, Ina (Dennis) Flenner and Phyllis (Mike) Patterson; 21 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Edna Ormeroid, Ellen Tablett and Velma Carpenter; sisters-in-law, Carol Donavon and Joyce Sultz; brother-in-law, George R. Doup.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene Miller; sister, Elda Cornelius; granddaughters, Brittany Doup and Tori Brook.

Visiting hours are Friday, Feb. 17, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, where her funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.
