MANSFIELD — Albert F. “Al” Hardman, 90, died Feb. 18, 2012, in Mansfield.

He was born July 16, 1921, to the late Albert Hardman Sr. and Mary (Stagg) Hardman. He was also preceded in death by stepmother, Gladys (Rice) Hardman.

During World War II, Al received the Air Medal and the Distinguished Flying Cross. Al continued in the military as a procurement officer during the Korean War and then as a member of the Ohio National Guard, retiring as a major.

Surviving are wife, Virginia (Hale); children, Joyce (Murray Angus), Andrew (Jane McWilliams), Mary (Frank Palmieri) and David (Diane Tegt); nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and brother, Joe.

Visitation will be Saturday, 10 to 11 a.m., in Linden Road Presbyterian Church, 160 S. Linden Road, Mansfield, where memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. The Rev. Andrew Gerhart will officiate. The Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home is serving the Hardman family. To view full obituary visit
