MANSFIELD — R. J. Reynolds, 78, of Mansfield, died Thursday, March 1, 2012, in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital.
He was born April 28, 1933, in Letcher, Ky., to Noah and Rainie (McKinney) Reynolds.
A U.S. Army veteran, R.J. served three years and was honorably discharged in 1953.
He married Iris Lee Stilwell Jan. 23, 1958.
He was deeply cherished by his wife Iris; his daughter, Carol R. (James) Dillon; three grandchildren, Melissa (Keith) Stall, Kelly (Mark) Knight and Adam J. Dillon; a great-grandson, Gavin Dillon Knight; and a sister, Christina A. Manns.
In addition to his parents, R.J. was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.
Friends may call Sunday, March 4, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Mansfield Cemetery.
