SUNBURY — Edna G. “Granny” Curry, 85, of Sunbury, died Saturday afternoon, March 3, 2012, at Heartland of Centerburg.

She was born Oct. 9, 1926, in Columbus, to the late James and Grace (Hammill) O’Donnell. She had lived in the Sunbury area for 38 years and was a homemaker.

Affectionately known as “Granny,” she enjoyed bingo and watching the Ohio State Buckeyes football team on television. Granny loved her family and enjoyed making beaded jewelry.

She is survived by her son, Earnest Curry of Sunbury; grandchildren, Toney Curry and Genie Demorest, both of Galena; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Alexa Demorest.

Preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Curry, Jan. 7, 1984; brother, Bernard; sister, Margaret.

Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Ohio 3 at 61, Sunbury, where services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Wayne Booth officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Memorial Park.
