FREDERICKTOWN — Betty Lou Ebersole, 83, of Fredericktown, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Country Court Nursing Center in Mount Vernon.

She was born April 11, 1928, in Wheeling, W.Va., to the late Walter Dodson and Katherine (Pauline) Tobin. Betty co-owned and operated Ebersole Meat Processing in Chesterville. She attended the Chesterville United Methodist Church. Betty was a member of the Ohio Eastern Star, Evelyn Chapter 146, and served as Grand Marshall of the Grand Chapter of Ohio in 1977.

She is survived by a son, Ed Ebersole; four grandchildren; two brothers, Vaughn (Barbara) Tobin of Chesterville, Michael Tobin of Coshocton; three sisters, June Tobin of Mount Vernon, Judy (Jerry) Compton of Centerburg and Sally (Bob) Ford of Mount Vernon.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Ebersole; her stepfather, Delbert Tobin; and a brother, Arthur Tobin.

Friends may call Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown. A graveside service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Maple Grove Cemetery in Chesterville.

Memorial contributions in Betty’s name may be made to Hospice of Knox County, 17700 Coshocton Ave., Mount Vernon, OH 43050.
