GAMBIER — Kathryn Louise (Conkle) Morey, 84, of Killduff Road, died Monday, March 12, 2012, at the Forest Hills Center in Columbus.

She was born March 16, 1927, in Mount Vernon to the late Edwin Webster and Francis Willard (Fawcett) Conkle. She married Robert Morey on Dec. 7, 1946, who preceded her in death Jan. 11, 2012. She was a 1945 graduate of Amity High School, a life-long member of the Howard United Methodist Church, a member of the Howard Gardening Club, RSVP Quilting Club, and she loved flower gardening.

She is survived by her three children, William L. (Cheryl) Morey, James L. (Judy) Morey and Janet K. Fisher; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Richard Hauger; and two sisters-in-law; Isabelle and Mildred.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Daisy (Lifer) Conkle; two brothers, John and Edwin Conkle; and two sisters, Margaret Frank and Evalyn Hauger.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 15, at 11 a.m. at the Howard United Methodist Church, with Pastor Lee Cubie officiating. Burial will follow in Valley Cemetery near Howard.
