MANSFIELD — David Gibson, 74, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at home.

He was born June 26, 1937, in Mansfield, the son of Curtis “Hoot” and Edna “Jac” Gibson; he graduated from Madison High School. He served with the U.S. Air Force.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marlene “Mimi” (Baish) Gibson; daughters, Stacey Gibson and Sheri (Bruce) Hardcastle; a grandson Cody Swartz; brothers, Richard Gibson and Jim (Muriel) Gibson; sisters-in-law, Judith (Ralph) Revennaugh and Elizabeth Pritchard; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours are Sunday, March 18, 2 to 5 p.m., in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. A worship service will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Diamond Hills Baptist Church, 647 S. Diamond St., with Pastors Chris Thomas and Don Holtzapple officiating. The Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail will hold military honors.
