MOUNT VERNON — Blanche E. Ferguson, 86, of Mount Vernon, passed away Saturday afternoon, March 17, 2012, at the Country Court Nursing Center in Mount Vernon. She was born May 22, 1925, in Drill, Va., daughter of the late Kelly and Malisa (Brown) Wilson.

Blanche was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Mount Vernon. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Blanche is survived is by her son, Robert (Kay) Bostic of Mount Vernon; daughters, Beverly (Fred) Edwards and Linda Rine of Mount Vernon; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Clyde (Loraine) Wilson and Danny Wilson of Mount Vernon; and a sister, Loree Gray of Texas.

In addition to her parents, Blanche was preceded in death by her first husband, Winfred Bostic; a daughter, Judy Ann Bostic; and a grandson, Justin Hammond.

The family will receive friends from noon until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, with Minister Rick Tincher officiating. Burial will follow in Mound View Cemetery in Mount Vernon.
