MOUNT VERNON — Donna May Borden, 87, of Mount Vernon passed away March 18, 2012.
She was born May 28, 1924, in Mount Vernon, where she lived most of her life. She was employed at Cooper-Bessmer and Knox Community Hospital. She worked 30 years in the timber business and 34 years in the antique business with her husband.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Addison and Coralee Baldwin; brother, Lewis Baldwin; and sister, Dorothy Hall.
Surviving are her husband of almost 65 years, William Kinsey Borden; sister-in-law, June Baldwin; daughters, Charlotte (Ron) Oechslin of Columbus, Brenda (Randy) Meyer of Toledo; sons, Jerry Borden of Mount Vernon and Steve Borden of Cincinnati; grandchildren, Daniel Meyer of Toledo, Jeremy Borden, Vanessa Borden, Marcia (Jeff) Campanelli, Kinsey (Heather) Borden, Wil Yee, all of Columbus; and great-grandchildren, Jade Borden, Alyssa Jones, Isaac Yee and Isabella Campanelli, all of Columbus.
The family wishes to express appreciation to special friend and neighbor, Louise Webb; and Hospice employees Lisa Wright and Cheryl Patterson.
Friends may call today, March 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home, 212 N. Main St., Mount Vernon. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 21, at 11 a.m. at First Church of the Nazarene on Coshocton Avenue. Burial will follow in Mound View Cemetery.
