LEXINGTON — Gerald G. “Jerry” Walker, 76, passed away March 20, 2012, in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital.
He was born Aug. 13, 1935, in Akron, to Perciful and Daisy (Hart) Walker. Gerald worked as a driver for Wyandot Popcorn, retiring in the late 1990s. A U.S. Army veteran, he served two years between the Korean and Vietnam wars.
Surviving are wife, Patricia (Nealley) Walker; six daughters, Wendy Abranski, Teresa Boston, Sheila Burton, Laura (Butch) Davis, Jerilyn (Dennis) Brinley, Pamela (Brad) Back; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a nephew, Thomas Davis.
He was preceded in death by parents; a sister, Mildred Davis.
A memorial service will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Pleasant Grove Community Church. Pastor Ken Kinley will officiate. Interment in Lexington Cemetery with military honors. Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
