MARTINSBURG — Charlene Naomi Wilfong, 83, of Martinsburg, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Jan. 24, 1929, in Johnstown to the late Lewis Calvin and Nina Pearl (Reed) Jones.

Charlene is survived by her daughter, Naomi (Paul) Robinson of Mount Vernon; sons, Dewey R. (Rhonda) Wilfong of Newark and James L. Wilfong of Martinsburg; her baby sister, Sharon (Tom) Hartless; nine grandchildren, Bobbi (Jason) Maleszewski, Angela (David) Chenault, Haylee Robinson, Brian Wilfong, Brock (Valerie) Wilfong, Derek Wilfong, Jayme (Mike) Rardon, Jennifer Wilfong and Jillian Wilfong; three great-grandchildren, Noah, Adelaide and Madison; her best friend, Claire Geiger; and her dog, Katie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey J. Wilfong, in 2006; brother, Leland Jones; sister, Donna Atherton; and a great-grandson, Wesley Chenault.

Friends may call Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m., with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating. Burial will follow in Martinsburg Cemetery.
