IRONTON — Juanita Ruth Daniel, 75, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Emeritus at HillenVale in Mount Vernon.

She was born June 8, 1936, in Ironton, seventh of eight children to the late Oda and Bessie (Pierce) Nance. Juanita was married to the late Jerry Lee Daniel of Ohio Furnace on Aug. 29, 1959; he preceded her in death in 2002.

She is survived by her sons, Scott (Cindy) Daniel, Williamsburg, Va., Brian (Vesta) Daniel, Marengo; two sisters, Rose Caudill, Columbus, Lillian Stauffis of New Hampshire; sister-in-law, Donna Daniel (Gary) Arthurs of Ohio Furnace; four grandchildren, Connor (Kayla) Daniel of Ohio Furnace, Taylor and Aidan Daniel of Williamsburg, Va., Sherri (Jeremy) Lyons of Delaware; great-grandchildren, Ava and Xavier Lyons of Delaware; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Juanita graduated from Ironton High School in 1954 and worked as a secretary for the U.S. Department of Energy, The Ohio Farm Bureau, The Ohio State University, and retired from Mount Vernon Nazarene University after 29 years of faithful service.

Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, Ironton, with Pastors Gary Arthurs and Lucian Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Buckeye Cemetery, Ohio Furnace, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday, from 5 to 8 p.m.
