MOUNT VERNON — Ronald A. Lemasters, 98, of North Main Street, Mount Vernon, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2012, at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus.
He was born May 29, 1913, in Mount Vernon, to the late Harley and Agnes (Davis) Lemasters. Mr. Lemasters owned and operated Lemasters Clothing Store in Mount Vernon and was a former member of the Mount Vernon Country Club. He served in the U.S. Air Corps during World War II.
He is survived by his daughter, Gayle (Ken) Reed of Cambridge; three grandchildren, Matthew Reed of Cambridge, Suzanne Reed of Columbus and Zak (Nikki) Reed of Okinawa, Japan; four great-grandchildren, Clayton Reed, Jackson Reed, Mylee Reed and Olivia Reed.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine “Katie” Lemasters, on March 26, 2007; a brother, Davis Lemasters; and a sister, Mary Dell Norris.
A memorial service will be held Thursday starting at 1 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Mound View Cemetery in Mount Vernon.
