MOUNT VERNON — Terry Lee Brown, 68, of Mount Vernon, died Sunday, April 8, 2012, at his residence.
Terry was born March 24, 1944, in Brodhead, Ky., to Joe and Omega (Shival) Brown. He had been employed in the transportation business as an over-the-road driver for several trucking companies. He was a member of the Teamsters.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra (Robinson) Brown, whom he married Dec. 8, 1972; his children, Douglas (Sherry) Brown of Madawaska, Maine and Heidi (Mike) Ramos of Lewisville, Texas; stepchildren, Ellen (Mike) Smith of Mount Vernon, Dawn (Davy) Hale of Gainesville, Ga., Wayne (Deb) Liegey of Bossier City, La. and Stuart (Charissa) Liegey of Centralia, Mo.; four grandchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and his brother, Larry Michael Davis of Louisville, Ky.
Besides his parents, Terry was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Sandra Gomez.
A service celebrating the life of Terry Lee Brown will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
