CENTERBURG — Michael L. Sloan, 72, of Centerburg, died unexpectedly Friday, April 13, 2012, at home.
He was co-owner of Tree and Turf, part-time employee at Sambuca’s Greenhouse in Galena, photographer, and retired from Robin Enterprises in Westerville. He was a former teacher at Tri-Rivers Career Center. Mr. Sloan was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of AMVETS.
He is survived by his wife, Debra; children, Tim (Susan) Sloan, Bonnie (Dwayne) Lowry and Daniel Shupe; grandchildren, Ashley, Trent, Curtis, Kailyn, Alesha and Ty.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Marie Donnelly Sloan.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the New Testament Baptist Church, 5560 Ohio 95, Chesterville, where service will follow at 7 p.m. Pastor William Kirk will officiate. Private interment will be in Eastview Cemetery by Johnson-Melick-Moreland Funeral Home, Centerburg.
