MOUNT VERNON — Francis M. “Frank” Blair Sr., 66, of Oak Street, Mount Vernon, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 16, 2012, surrounded by his family.
He was born Sept. 29, 1945, in Ogdensburg, N.Y., to the late Frank and Thaida (Poore) Blair. Frank was employed as a car salesman for the Rick Colliers Car Lot in Mount Vernon. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed spending time camping with his family. He loved mowing lawns and was always willing to help anyone in need. Frank was never more than a phone call away.
He is survived by his wife, Mary (Straight) Blair; his children, Elizabeth Brown of New York, Francis (Jessica) Blair Jr. of Mount Vernon, Ronald (Heather) Blair of Mansfield, Loretta (Greg) Stoutenburgh of Mount Vernon, Michelle (Josh) Graham of Mount Vernon; 21 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters, all of New York.
Besides his parents, Frank was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, where a service will follow beginning at 3 p.m., with Pastor Dave Guild officiating.
