SUNBURY — Kenny “Chet” Ruzika, 17, of Sunbury, went to be with the Lord on April 17, 2012.

Kenny was a junior at Big Walnut High School and attended Delaware Area Career Center, studying to be a firefighter. He was a member of Northside Fellowship Church in Westerville.

He is survived by his mother, Paula of Sunbury; father, Kenneth F. of Canal Winchester; sisters, Mikayla of the home and Krista Collins of Georgia; maternal grandfather, Robert (Carolyn) Derenberger of Lancaster; maternal grandmother, Sandra (Dwight) VanBuren of Howard; aunts, Denise (Scott) Stewart of Centerburg, Diane Schriver of Westerville and Michelle (Eric) Lutz of Arizona; cousins, Paige, Travis, Jeremy, Miranda, Liesel and Aurick; and many friends.

Friends may call today, April 19, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Northside Fellowship Church, 6841 Freeman Road, Westerville. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Genoa Baptist Church, corner of Lewis Center Road and Ohio 3 in Galena, with Pastor Jeff Dybdahl officiating. Interment in Sunbury Memorial Park, Sunbury. Arrangements by the Moreland Funeral Home, Westerville.
