MOUNT VERNON — Marjorie L. Minard, 61, of Mount Vernon, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born Sept. 28, 1950, in Columbus to the late Paul and Barbara Jean (Morgan) Dille. Marjorie was a member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church. She was a 1969 Linden McKinley High School graduate. Marjorie was also a former secretary for WMVO Radio and was in the Quilting Guild of Knox County.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Jon Minard; a son, Jon Minard Jr. of Mount Vernon; daughters, Rebecca Minard of San Diego, Calif., and Karen (Charles Simpkins) Tish of Groveport; brother, James Charles (Gretchen) Dille of Cincinnati; and three grandchildren, Dylan Dusablon, Jon and Joseph Tish.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Marjorie will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, with Pastor Susan Stevens officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services on Saturday. The Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home in Mount Vernon is handling the funeral services for the Minard family.
