MOUNT VERNON — Anna W. Wolford, 82, of Oak Street, Mount Vernon, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012, at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.

She was born Oct. 30, 1929, in Mount Vernon, to the late James and Erma (Wilson) Bell. Anna enjoyed playing cards and traveling with family and friends over the years.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Penny Wolford of Mount Vernon; a granddaughter, Bianca (Michael) Trigg of England; sister-in-law, Pat (Dan) Pounder; cousins, Dale (Nora) Wilson and James (Lenora) Wilson, both of Fredericktown.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clark “Pete” Wolford; a son, Donald Wolford; and a sister, Mary Jane Bell.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Brandon Cemetery. The Rev. Terry McLaughlin will be officiating. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Anna W. Wolford.

Memorial contributions may be made in Anna’s name to Hospice of Knox County, 17700 Coshocton Ave., Mount Vernon, OH 43050.
