MOUNT VERNON — Kenneth H. Naylor, 79, of Mount Vernon, passed away Sunday morning, April 29, 2012, at Riverside Methodist Hospital.

He was born Dec. 3, 1932, in Knox County, son of the late Tom and Kenova (Yoder) Naylor. Ken was a Construction Electrician retiring in 1993 with 40 years of faithful service to the IBEW Local 688 in Mansfield. Ken served his country in the Army’s 5th Regiment Combat Team during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Mount Vernon Baptist Temple.

Ken is survived by his granddaughter, Amy Crumm of Mount Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Ramona (Styers) Naylor; daughter, Karen Crumm; brother, Thomas E. Naylor; and sister, Ernestine Gaddis.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon, where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the Mound View Cemetery with military honors provided by the Knox County Joint Veterans.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Knox County, 17700 Coshocton Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050.
