MOUNT VERNON — Margaret A. “Peg” Kroninger, 84, of Mount Vernon, formerly of Centerburg, passed away Friday evening, April 27, 2012, at the Country Court Nursing Center.

She was born Sept. 6, 1927, in Gary, Ind., daughter of the late Harold and Clara (Stewart) Rubadue Sr. Peg retired from Sears Department Store and was a member of the Knox County Numismatic Society.

Peg is survived by her children, Kenneth W. Kroninger and Elizabeth “Beth” Robinson; and grandchildren, Steven (Jenny) Robinson, Neil (Nichole) Robinson and Letitia (Raul) Arriaga; and great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Zachary, Mikayla, Autummn, Taylor and Ashley Robinson, Dominic and Madelena Arriaga, and Robert Fox.

In addition to her parents, Peg was preceded in death by her husband, Karl W. Kroninger; and brothers, Harold “Butch” Rubadue Jr. and Norman Rubadue.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the Mount Liberty Cemetery.
