FREDERICKTOWN — Richard “Rich” Cannon, 55, of Fredericktown, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Rich was born Feb. 4, 1957, in Columbus, to the late Glenn and Winifred (Anderson) Cannon. He graduated from Franklin University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and was employed as a Project and Process engineering manager for Ariel Corp. He was a member of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Barb (Coe) Cannon; his daughter, Ashley (Nate) Daniels of Butler; a son, Robert Cannon of Fredericktown; sisters, Lorna Blair (Ali Aaddi) of Florida, Laura Brown of Grove City; and several nieces and nephews.

Rich was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Gilbert Brown.

Friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home, 212 N. Main St., Mount Vernon. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Mulberry Street United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Warren Outhewait officiating. Burial will follow in Mound View Cemetery.
