COLUMBUS — Violet L. (Porter) Garrison, 93, of Columbus, passed away peacefully Friday, April 27, 2012.
She was a hairdresser for 30 years and retired from Blue Shield, was past president of the Golden Moose Club, member of St. Stephen the Martyr Church, Moose Lodge and Senior Regent of Women’s Lodge 206, VFW Post 495 (Lifetime), American Legion Post 532 Auxiliary, Senior Golf League for many years, and Lifetime member of Morgan Grange.
Survived by husband, Charles; daughters, Judith (Norman) McVay, Carolyn Milliman; stepdaughters, Kathleen (Joseph) Grundy, Susan (David) Bishop, Charlene (Timothy) McFarland, Rebecca (Craig) Hay; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one niece, four nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by Dawson Porter; and son-in-law, Harold I. Milliman.
Graveside service and interment were this morning in Forest Cemetery at Fredericktown. The Rev. Father Thomas Buffer officiating. The Jerry Spears Funeral Home, 2693 W. Broad St., Columbus, in charge of the arrangements.
