UTICA — A funeral service for Mona Lou Pembrook, 77, of Utica, will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Utica Church of Christ, 115 N. Central Ave., Utica, with Alan Pratt officiating. Burial will follow in South Lawn Cemetery.

Mona Lou died May 18, 2012, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. She was born Dec. 14, 1934, in Perry County, Ohio, to the late James L. and Bertha (Warner) Pargeon. Mona Lou was a member of the Utica Church of Christ. She retired from First-Knox National Bank and she was an avid traveler.

She is survived by sister-in-law, Mary Kay Pargeon, nephews, Craig and Tina Pargeon, Stanley Pargeon and Tootie Smith, all of Utica, Scott Pargeon and Diana Parks of Frazeysburg; nieces, Amy and Tom Cooper, Lisa and Rob Pierpont, of Utica, Pari and Willard Fissell of Mansfield and Carla and Larry Counts of Mount Gilead; and several great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence L. Pembrook, who passed away May 9, 1995; brothers, Wayne and Harold Pargeon.

Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N Main St., Utica.
