TACOMA, Wash. — Carroll E. Cosner of Tacoma, Wash., formerly of Mount Vernon, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012.

He was born March 29, 1925. He was a World War II veteran and served in Europe during and after the war. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing at the Gambier Fishing Club with his friend, Nub Woolison. He is survived by his wife, Sarah McCloy Cosner of Tacoma, and her family; his former wife and the mother of his children, Edith Frye Cosner of Mount Vernon; son, Douglas (Dee) Cosner of Pickerington; granddaughter, Angel (Chris) Harmon of Mount Vernon; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Gabe and Ellie Harmon; sister, Barbara (Richard) Lorey of Fredericktown; several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Minnie Cosner; and daughter, Connie Lynn Cosner.
