MOUNT VERNON — Lucas Edwin Heagren, age 3, of Mount Vernon, passed away May 29, 2012, at Akron Children’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

He was born Jan. 24, 2009, in Westerville. Lucas liked fishing, hunting, Harley-Davidsons, quads and Chevy Cameros.

Lucas is survived by his parents, Josh Heagren and Kaitlin Campbell; one sister, Savannah Heagren, who he adored; maternal grandparents, Andy and Eileen Campbell, and paternal grandparents, Rob and Jean Heagren, both of Mount Vernon; maternal great-grandmother, Shirley Batson of Mansfield; paternal great-grandparents, Ed and Dolores Heagren, and paternal great-grandmother, Karen Graham, both of Mount Vernon; aunts and uncles, Melissa and Johnny Caudill of Ashland, Jessica and Jesse Keirns of Howard, Cassandra Campbell of Ambridge, Pa., Jake and Jerrod Heagren, both of Mount Vernon; and several cousins, great-aunts and uncles, and close family.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Loren and Barbara Campbell; great-grandpas, Eugene Batson and Walter Wolford.

Friends may call Thursday, from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Grove Church of Christ, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m., with Minister Victor Slutz officiating. Burial will follow in Union Grove Cemetery. The Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home in Mount Vernon is handling the funeral arrangements for the Lucas Edwin Heagren family.
