SUNBURY — Lawrence M. “Larry” Heyder, 74 of Sunbury passed away Friday, June 1, 2012, at home.
Born in Columbus on May 18, 1938, he was the son of the late Lawrence Heyder and Dorothy (Carey) Holtzman. He moved to Sunbury in 1960 and was co-owner along with the other members of his family of Sunbury Auto Parts until 1998. He was a member of Sparrow Lodge 400 F&AM.
He is survived by daughter, Bonnie Hassan (fiancé Joe Veres); stepdaughter, Candy Phillips (Jerry Long); brother, Rolly (Mary) Heyder of Sunbury; half sister, Debi Polin of Millersburg; stepbrother, Lennie Waldo; nieces, a nephew, and dear friend and companion, Daisy McKee.
Preceded in death by wife, Sharon (Brokaw), in 2004; and daughter, Dawn Heyder, in 2007.
Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, Sunbury, where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Sunbury Memorial Park.
