LEXINGTON — Harold J. Rader, 76, died June 2, 2012, in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital.

Born Oct. 17, 1935, near Mansfield, to Joseph Henry and Leona Blanche (Rinehart) Rader. He served with the Air National Guard and was activated to protect the nation during the Bay-of-Pigs crisis. For 32 years, he worked with General Motors, retiring in 1986.

Survived by wife, Sandy (McKown) Rader; daughters, Shawn (Mike) Richard of Ontario and Kim (Gator) Johns of Lexington; two granddaughters; brother, the Rev. Charles A. (Virginia) Rader of Johnstown; a sister, Annabel Miller of Mansfield; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents; brothers, Lester Rader and Chester Rader; and sister, Vera Greenawalt.

Visitation will be Tuesday, 4 to 7 p.m., Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where his funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. Pastor Christopher Liberati officiating. Burial in Mansfield Cemetery.
