LOUDONVILLE — Janet Annette Taylor, 75, of Loudonville, died Thursday evening, June 7, 2012, in Colonial Manor Health Care Center, Loudonville, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Taylor was born Aug. 15, 1936, in Mansfield, and was the daughter of the late Stewart J. and Hazel Delores (Pitcher) Aplin. She had been a Loudonville area resident since 1953 and had worked at Heinz’s Restaurant, Dee’s Bus Stop Restaurant, Young’s Arcade, the American Legion and for the Thunderbird Gallery, all of Loudonville. She was a member of Loudonville American Legion Auxiliary and the Loudonville Eagles Auxiliary for 35 years. She enjoyed reading. On Dec. 14, 1952, she married William H. Taylor Jr. and he died Nov. 21, 1999.
Janet is survived by two sons, Robert A. Taylor of Beaverton, Mich., and Richard W. Taylor of Loudonville; her daughter, Kathleen (Adam) Brentlinger of Beaverton, Mich.; six grandchildren three great-grandchildren; her brother, Kenneth (Cathy) Henshaw of Florida; and her sister, Delores (Paul) Sheehe of Mansfield.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at noon in Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, with the Rev. Howard Burnett officiating. Burial will be in Amity Cemetery, Knox County. Friends may call Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of services in the funeral home.
