MOUNT VERNON — Steve R. Milligan Sr., 61, of Mount Vernon, formerly of the Smithfield area, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012, in the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.
Steve was born Aug. 12, 1950, in Cambridge, son of the late George and Eileen (Kochur) Milligan. Steve was retired from the State of Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation. He was a member of the K. of C. and the FOE 3261 in Reynoldsburg.
Surviving are two sons, George (Bonnie) Milligan of Baltimore and Dr. Steve R. Milligan Jr. of Lima; his sister, Karen (Jeff) Pazzelli of Smithfield; his companion, Carolyn Shaffer of Mount Vernon; grandson, Kingston Sheares of Florida; two nieces, Beth (Corey) Petrosino of Dillonvale, Shannon Pazzelli of St. Clairsville; one nephew, Jeffrey (Robyn) Pazzelli of Rayland.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11 a.m. to noon at the J.E. Foster Funeral Home Inc., 107 Hill St., Smithfield, Ohio. Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove. Visit http://www.jefosterfh.com.
