MANSFIELD — Edward Joseph “Ted” Kennedy, 84, died June 14, 2012, in Crystal Care of Mansfield.

Edward was born Oct. 14, 1927, in Warren to Sylvester and Elsie Marie Kennedy. A Navy veteran, Edward served during the Korean War. He worked for Gorman Rupp, Dominion Electric, and retired from Autocall Federal Signs and Signal.

Surviving are sons, Edward James (Rebella “Sue”) Kennedy, Dale (Kathleen) Poling; daughters, Marie “Tissy” (Huy) Doan, Peggy (Rev. John) Clarke and Cheryl While; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother-in-law, Phillip Escott; sister-in-law, Joanne Stover.

Deceased are parents; wife, Julia (Fitzgerald); and sister, Janice Escott.

Callinig hours are Monday, 4-7 p.m., Finefrock Chapel of the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where funeral will be Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. Chaplain Chris Mason will officiate. Burial with military honors in Oak Grove Memorial Park.
