FREDERICKTOWN — Anton “Tony” Reinhard, 66, of Elizabeth Street, Fredericktown, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, after an 18-year battle with cancer.
He was born Oct. 19, 1945, in Munich-Lochhausen, Germany, to the late Josef and Anna (Seidl) Reinhard. Tony retired in 2008, after 42 years of employment as a tool room supervisor for the Dana Corp. He was a member of the Mount Vernon Colonial City Moose Lodge and St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Tony’s greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Heffley) Reinhard; his daughter, Jennifer Reinhard; his son, Jeffrey (Tracy) Reinhard; three grandchildren, Jordyn Goddard, Jaide Reinhard, Katelyn Reinhard; two sisters, Berta and Franziska; and his brother-in-law, John Heffley.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Charles Heffley; his wife, Anna; and siblings, Karl, Georg, Josef, Wilham, Johan, Anna, Getraud and Heidwig.
Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, beginning at 10 a.m., with Rev. Father Mark J. Hammond as celebrant. Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.
