MOUNT VERNON — Helen M. Rauzi, 87, of Mount Vernon, passed away at the Country Club Retirement Campus in Mount Vernon on Friday, May 11, 2012. She was born on May 8, 1925, in Ashland, Ky., daughter of the late Warrick and Myrtle (Griffith) Powers.
In her earlier years, Helen was an assembler for the Westinghouse Co. and was a Methodist by faith.
Helen is survived by her sons, Robert (Penny) Rauzi of Howard and Joseph Rauzi of Troutman, N.C.; four grandchildren; and a brother, Harold (Shirley) Powers of Mansfield.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Anthony Rauzi; brothers, Howard and Curtis Powers; and sisters, Reva Liester and Janice Hoffman.
The family will have a memorial service celebrating the life of Helen on Saturday July 7, 2012, at 10 a.m. at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio. Friends may call one hour before the survice. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Howard. The family will host a reception at Allisons Finer Diner following the committal service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Knox County, 17700 Coshocton Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050 in Helen’s memory.
