HOWARD — James A. Boyles, 75, died Saturday, July 7, 2012, at his residence.

He was born July 3, 1937, in Columbus. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1962.

He is survived by his wife, Theodoshia “Tessie” Boyles, whom he married Jan. 28, 1960; his sons, James (Laura) and Joseph Boyles; his daughter, Penny Schwendeman; his grandchildren, Jimmy, Kaitlyn, Sarah, Emma and Olivia Boyles, and Kelly and Mellisa Schwendeman; sisters, Caroline, Margaret, Lucille (Ralph) and Phyllis; a brother, Thomas (Marlena); sisters-in-law, Jackie and Connie; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his fathers, Malcom and Homer; his mother, Philomena; sisters, Mary and Ruth; brothers, Joseph, Homer (Wanda) and Richard; and brothers-in-law, Joe, Curly, Ronnell Sr. and Mark.

The family would like to thank the Dialysis Center, and the Veterans Administration, and special thanks to Kelly and Erin.

A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Burial will follow in New Castle Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8. Information is available at http://www.fischerfuneralhome.com.
