LOUDONVILLE — Minnie E. Haudenschild, 89, of North Street, Loudonville, died early Wednesday morning, July 11, 2012, in Colonial Manor Health Care Center following a brief illness.
Minnie was born June 30, 1923, in Greer, and was the daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Kyser) Juergens. She was a 1941 graduate of Loudonville High School and had lived in rural Danville for many years before moving to Loudonville in 1999. She had worked in the cafeteria and brass departments of Mansfield Plumbing Products for 20 years before retiring in 1988 On Feb. 12, 1946, she married Robert S. Haudenschild, who died in 1987. Minnie was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and was an avid card player, reader and bowler.
Minnie is survived by two sons, James (Sherry) Haudenschild of Perrysville, and Robert (Billie) Haudenschild of Danville; four daughters, Patricia (Richard) Rose of Newark, Faith Hite of Shreve, Barbara (Eric) Barnhart of Glenmont and Grace Mellinger of Applecreek; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Louis (Marty) Juergens of Mount Vernon; and one sister, Margaret Mosher of Loudonville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning, July 14, at 10:30 a.m. in the Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, with the Rev. Bob Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Loudonville Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
