DANVILLE — Loney K. McDonald, 63, of Chestnut Ridge Road, died Thursday, July 12, 2012, at her residence.

She was born Nov. 28, 1948, in Danville, to the late Arnold E. and Cora (Galford) McFadden. She worked at Apple Valley Maintenance. She was an avid bow hunter for over 30 years, belonging to the Buckskin Bowhunters and the Ohio Bowhunters Association. She was a master instructor in bowhunting education for 20 years. She loved flowers, birds and the great outdoors. Loney was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her motto was “Semper Fi” meaning always faithful.

She is survived by her husband, Bill McDonald, whom she married March 3, 1968. Also surviving are two daughters, B.J. (Jack) Oyster of Millersburg and Christel Breckler of Danville; two grandchildren, Jacolyne and Austin Oyster; a sister, Bonnie Fowler of Coshocton; four brothers, Arnold (Vick) McFadden of Howard, Ronnie (Mel) McFadden of Millersburg, Todd (Sheila) McFadden and Eugene (Steph) McFadden of Coshocton; her mother-in-law, Mary Ellen McDonald of Howard.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Olie Batten and Karen Burris; a brother, Eldridge McFadden; two nephews, Mike McFadden and Arik McDonald; and her father-in-law, Ed McDonald.
