CAMPOBELLO, S.C. — Thursa Blankenship, 71, of 115 Royal Troon, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Landrum, S.C.

She was born Jan. 12, 1941, in Justice, W.Va., to the late John and Octavia Wilson. She was a 1960 graduate of Gilbert High School in Gilbert, W.Va. She was a devout Christian and a member of the Justice Tabernacle in Justice, W.Va..

Survivors included are her brothers, Thomas (Linda) Wilson of Huntsville, Ala., and Richard (Ruby) Wilson of Hampden, W.Va.; her sisters, Lucy Lester of Verner, W.Va., Susie LeFevers of Justice, W.Va., Loretta Lawson of Campobello, S.C., and Sharon (Arnold) Addair of Danville; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Jeri Stoilkov.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Blankenship; a son, Chris Woodward; a brother, Amos Wilson; and a sister, Evelyn Wilson.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Workman Cemetery in Danville, with Gene Lilly officiating. The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements. Visit http://www.fischerfuneralhome.com.
