ASHLAND — Duane M. Koppert, 87, of rural Loudonville died Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at Hospice of North Central Ohio, Ashland. Duane was born March 26, 1925, in Knox County, the son of Ivan R. and Orpha Alta (Reed) Koppert. He was a veteran of World War II and an agent with Western-Southern Insurance Co.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda J. (Messner) Koppert; one son, Richard Koppert of Shelby; daughter-in-law, Judy Koppert of Loudonville; two grandchildren; brothers, Eldon “Pete” Koppert of Nokomis, Fla., and Denzil (Sandra) Koppert of Fredericktown.
Duane was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Dorma Stamen.
Funeral services were July 9, 2012, at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, with the Rev. Jeff Messner officiating.
