COCONUT CREEK, Fla. — Louise W. Bricker, 82, formerly of Mount Vernon, died Saturday, July 21, 2012, at the Health Center of Coconut Creek, Fla., following a long battle with cancer.

She was born Nov. 25, 1929, in Mount Vernon to Fred and Edna (Hillier) Williams. After high school, Louise pursued a secretarial career and retired in 1986 from the First Federal Savings and Loan as the executive secretary to the president, prior to retiring to Florida with her husband.

Louise was an avid sports fan and loved to travel. She and Bob explored the United States in their camper and visited Australia. She volunteered much of her time to hospitals in Ohio and Florida; and represented her community, Tallowwood Isle, as the first president of the HOA.

Louise is survived by her husband of 61 years, Robert “Bob” Bricker; sister, Mary Jo Ulrey of Kettering; sons, Steve Bricker of Mount Vernon and Doug (Janet) Bricker of Fredericktown; granddaughters, Stephanie Bricker of Norwood and Alison Laird of Lebanon; and great-grandsons, Jobey Parkes and Alan Laird of Lebanon.

The family will hold a private service at a future date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the VITAS Hospice Charitable Fund, 5430 NW 33rd Ave., Suite 106, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309.
