LEXINGTON — William “Bill” Baker Sr., 85, of Lexington died July 25, 2012, at home.
Bill was born Feb. 8, 1927, in Lexington, to John and Mae (West) Baker. In the 1960s, Bill began the operation of Baker Excavating.
Surviving are wife, Ilene (Camp) Baker; daughter, Deb Hill; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Rollin Brewer; daughter-in-law, Darla Baker; sisters, Carol Greer and Etta Wiley; sister-in-law, Helen Cottrill; brother-in-law, Forest (Isabel) Camp; special nephew, Jerry Baker; numerous nieces, nephews.
Deceased are parents; daughters, Wilma Brewer and Tricia Robinson; son, William “Bill” Baker Jr.; grandson, Bryan Brewer; brothers, Robert, Clarence, Ralph and Dale Baker; sister, Thelma Campbell.
Visitation is Sunday, 2-5 p.m., Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, with funeral service Monday at 11 a.m. Pastor David Smith officiating; burial in Shauck Cemetery.
