BELLVILLE — Clement “Clem” Strimel Sr., 79, of Bellville, died July 28, 2012, in Lexington Court Care Center.
He was born July 11, 1933, in Pittsburgh, to Archie and Henrietta (Veydt) Strimel. Clem served in the Air Force; was a member of the Marion American Legion Post 162. He worked for the former Empire Detroit Steel (currently AK Steel), retiring in 1989.
Surviving are wife, Mary Eleanor (Krafton) Strimel; children, Deb Jones, Darlene Sparks, Kathy Moore, Clem Strimel Jr., Sheila South; 10 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews.
Preceded by parents; brothers, Archie and Leon Strimel; and sisters, Eva Delestine and Marie O’Rourke.
Visitation is today from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m., in Clear Fork Alliance Church, Bellville, with friends received from 10 to 11 a.m. The Rev. Matt Merendino will officiate. Military honors by Bellville American Legion Post 535.
