LEXINGTON — Richard Dale “Dick” Heston, 92, of Lexington, died July 29, 2012, in his Lexington home.

He was born July 18, 1920, near Lexington, to Marion and Ethel (Milligan) Heston, He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. After the war he returned to his job at Farm Tools Inc.; then went to Dominion Electric, and then General Motors in Ontario until retiring in 1985.

Surviving are wife Annabelle (Yarger) Heston; son, Robert (Ellie) Heston; daughter, Linda (John) Barr; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren; sister, Kathryn Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded by parents, Marion Heston and Ethel Heston Swigart; and siblings, Leora Gaul, Mildred Foss, Martha Amato, Betty Thomas, Tootie Stevens, Jack Heston.

Visitation will be Tuesday, 4 to 7 p.m., Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where a service celebrating his life will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Burial in Oak Grove Memorial Park, with graveside military honors.
