MANSFIELD — Harold E. Amsbaugh passed away July 29, 2012, after a long struggle against the losses caused by Lewy Body Dementia.
He was preceded in death by parents, Harold and Marie Amsbaugh; and nephew, Jeff Armstrong.
Surviving are wife, Lucy Smith Amsbaugh; children, Robert (Carol) Amsbaugh, Lynn (Steve) Reed, Mike (Jamie) Amsbaugh and Nick Amsbaugh; eight grandchildren; sister, Judy Armstrong; sister-in-law, Sally (Rod) Deihl; three nephews; five nieces; and friends, Joanne and Jeff Dawson.
Harold graduated from Mansfield Senior High School and attended The College of Wooster, The Ohio State University and Ashland University.
A celebration of Harold’s life was held today at 11 a.m. at First Congregational Church, officiated by the Rev. David Root. Calling hours followed the service in the church parlor. Harold requested his body be donated to the OSU Department of Anatomy.
