GALION — Jean M. Weisheit, 72, of Galion, died July 31, 2012. She died at home with her family at her bedside. Jean fought a brave fight with pancreatic cancer for the past year.

Jean was born Sept. 13, 1939, and was chosen to be the daughter of the late Louis and Clara (Kobie) Tadych of Berea. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galion.

Jean is survived by her husband, Jack, with whom she just celebrated 50 years of marriage; daughter, Beverly (Chris) Kreuzer of Mount Vernon; son, Eric (Shelley) Weisheit of Cincinnati; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Galion. A Vigil Service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home led by Deacon Gregory Kirk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Galion, with the Rev. John Miller, Celebrant. Burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Galion.
